#ShareTheLove With Your Community

This year, Subaru of America, Inc. announced the return of the annual Subaru Share the Love® Event, which will be held for the 16th consecutive year.

“Each year, our Subaru community comes together for the Subaru Share the Love Event, collectively supporting causes that make an incredible impact on both a national and local scale. This event is at the heart of what makes us More Than a Car Company,” said Jeff Walters, President and Chief Operating Officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “Our customers inspire us, and we are excited to offer them another chance to give back to the causes that are closest to their hearts heading into this holiday season.”

This campaign may be familiar. For every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased through January 2, 2024, Subaru will donate $250 to the purchaser's choice of charities, including national and local nonprofits. Since the launch of the Subaru Share the Love Event, Subaru of America, Inc. and its participating retailers have donated more than $256 million to help those in need.

What many consumers, however, don’t know is that the Subaru Share the Love Event kicks off with an employee volunteer component. Which, for the last few years, has been designed, developed, and delivered by Give To Get.

This year, more than 510 employee volunteers from 9 locations volunteered more than 2,200 hours to assist 10 nonprofits. They produced nearly 2,000 donations.

How does a program like this work? The Give To Get team designs and delivers an in-person event for the 350+ employees at the company's headquarters. This includes providing all donation supplies, staffing, and (when necessary) assisting with registration, photographers, and catering.

At the company's headquarters, employees supported The Food Bank of South Jersey, Camden County Habitat for Humanity, Girls Inc., and Hopeworks Camden, which propels young adults into long-term living wage careers.

To empower regional teams to host similar events, the Give To Get team sends all materials needed to assemble donations (as well as instructions) to a local champion who hosts the event. This gives the individual a chance to show their leadership skills while supporting their community as well. The Give To Get team also provides additional training as needed.
