Start Planning Your Martin Luther King, Jr., Day Event Now!

Martin Luther King, Jr., Day has long been a day of volunteering and service to one’s community. This year, with the rising cost of living, the call to service is more important than ever.

Given companies’ varying comfort level with in-person volunteering and the usual cold-and-flu surge that happens each fall, we recommend planning employee volunteer options that are both remote and in-person.

If you have a small group of volunteers that want to participate in community events, they may be able to find options at a local new website. Give To Get also has a database with vetted nonprofit partners that we use to help small groups find activations for a small fee.

If your group is larger, our social impact team finds nonprofit partners, develops programs, and executes events. We purchase supplies and handle staffing so that your team simply shows up to volunteer!

We also have at-home options. For these events, we send boxes filled with items needed to assemble donations to volunteers. Volunteers then meet on a video call, assemble those items, and send them to the nonprofit. We include a prepaid shipping label in all boxes, too. This is a great option for employee volunteers who have children at home and want an activity to complete with them.

Convinced that you want to volunteer but not sure how? We're happy to help you find a program that works for your team.

We have been working in the social impact space for nearly 30 years and have amassed an unprecedented knowledge base on how to plan and execute volunteer events on a budget while serving the most community members possible in the most impactful way!
